1. Who we are
pewzero.com is operated by Pewzero AB, a Swedish limited company (org. no. to be added upon registration; registered address to be added). These terms are a contract between Pewzero AB (“we”, “us”) and you, once you create an account or use the service.
2. The service
pewzero.com is the optional online layer for three Android apps — Shot Timer, Stage Watch, and Spotter — which work as a precision-rifle shot timer and visual hit detector on their own, on-device. pewzero.com adds match hosting, live results boards, permanent result pages, and a history of your own runs and sessions.
3. Accounts
A free account lets you browse public matches and results, and see runs a Range Officer timed for you. It is read-only: it doesn’t let you create matches, publish results, or register devices.
A paid subscription additionally lets you create and run matches, publish a live board and permanent result page, register Spotters and Eyes, upload match-run and shot-session data, and copy runs timed for you into your own log.
You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials (API tokens, sign-in codes) confidential, and for activity that happens under your account.
4. Subscription & billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the subscription term you selected at checkout, processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel first. You can cancel any time from your account page; a cancelled subscription remains active through the end of the term you already paid for, then reverts to a free account.
5. Refunds
All charges are non-refundable. This applies to the full amount of every charge, including if you cancel partway through a paid term, stop using the service, or are unhappy with it. If you’re unsure whether a subscription is right for you, use the free tier first — it costs nothing and shows you the public side of the service.
6. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and don’t interfere with it (attempting to bypass quotas or access controls, scraping at abusive volume, reverse-engineering the detection pipeline to defeat it, and similar). Don’t use it to harass or impersonate other shooters.
PewZero is a space for shooting sports. Public-facing names and content — club names, match names, usernames, anything on a page anyone else can see — must relate to the sport and be respectful: no unlawful content, no harassment or hate, no impersonation, no political or other off-topic messaging, no spam.
pewzero.com and the apps are timing and recording tools, not safety devices. They do not supervise a range, verify safe firearm handling, or substitute for a Range Officer’s judgment. You are solely responsible for following your range’s rules, applicable law, and safe firearm-handling practice, independent of anything the apps report or fail to report.
7. Equipment downrange
Some features (Spotter, Eyes, near-target modes) involve placing phones, cameras, or other equipment near targets or downrange. Anything placed in or near the line of fire can be hit — by bullets, fragments, ricochets, or debris — and eventually will be. You place equipment entirely at your own risk. Pewzero AB is not liable for damage to or loss of equipment (yours or anyone else’s) placed downrange or near targets, and app guidance about placement does not change this. You are responsible for following your range’s rules and for damage your shooting causes to other people’s property.
Equipment must be placed and retrieved only when the range is cold and it is safe to go forward; no feature of the service ever instructs or permits anyone to be forward of the firing line while shooting occurs. The apps are designed to be glanced at between strings — never let any device take priority over safe firearm handling; range rules always come first. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Your content
Shot data, match runs, and any freeze-frames you upload remain yours. You grant us the license needed to store, process, and display that content back to you and to whoever you’ve made it visible to (a match’s live board, a public result page, a club you’ve shared with) — nothing more. If you publish a match or make a result public, other users can see it and, if paid, copy it into their own log; that’s the visibility you chose by publishing.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted uptime. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Pewzero AB’s total liability arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost matches, or lost time — back up anything irreplaceable on your own device.
11. Termination & enforcement
You can delete your account at any time from your account page; deletion is permanent (see the Privacy Policy for what that removes).
If you violate these terms — most often the public-content rule in Section 6 — we act proportionately: we may rename or unpublish the offending content, warn you, suspend your account, or, for serious or repeated violations, terminate it. When we restrict your content or account, we tell you what was restricted and why the next time you sign in — we don’t send this by email — and you can object to [email protected]. If we terminate a paid account for a violation, any remaining prepaid period is refunded pro-rata; what you lose is the service, not your money.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We’ll post the updated date at the top of this page; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the update.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Swedish courts.
